All our considerations regarding the ecological model of health are linked to the concept of energy (from the Greek "Energeia" - action, activity) as the overall quantitative measure of motion and interaction of all forms of matter.

We are talking about levels of energy, for health depends on the level of energy that we experience on a daily basis. Each cell in our body is an energy station, producing energy in the mitochondria. Poor health is caused by loss of energy at the level of our cells. The lack of energy is created by the slow accumulation of damage due to toxicity, hormonal depletion, lifestyle, thinking, poor ecology.

There is a growing discussion in the Western and Eastern scientific communities about the urgent need for a scientific hypothesis that the human body includes both visible and invisible parts. The former is a material system and the latter is an energy system and since matter and energy can be transformed into each other, it is important to study the human body from the perspective of both material and energy systems that can complement each other. The nature of the energy system is different from the material system, so expanding research into the human energy system may lead to the creation of a modern field of research in traditional Chinese medicine, and may also lead to new discoveries in Western modern medicine (biomedicine).

More indirect observation tools need to be developed for energy observation, but external observations based on modern scientific technology also have the prospect of being used to study the energy system of the human body. It is possible to use existing biomedical tools with energy interpretation of the data obtained.

Data from many biomedical monitoring devices, such as electrocardiogram, electroencephalograph and functional magnetic resonance imaging, can actually be interpreted in terms of energy changes, despite being currently interpreted in terms of morphological changes.

The interpretation of data does not depend on the instruments themselves, but on higher-level theoretical and methodological assumptions. Biomedical research is based on morphological changes and all observations are interpreted in terms of such changes. If we expand the field of medical research to observe physiological and pathological changes in terms of changes in energy, based on an appropriate higher-level model, data from biomedical tools may offer a different interpretation.

A good prospect of this view of the human body as a community of material and energy systems seems to be for the development of predictive and preventive medicine, as well as for the personalization of medicine, for example in the selection of drugs and treatments. This approach is also promising for the development of an express method of monitoring treatment results by methods of integrative medicine...

"An excellent doctor treats the disease before it occurs, rather than diagnosing the disease".

This expression can be explained as follows: according to the energy system theory, an incipient illness is an illness that has disturbed the energy system, but has not or only slightly affected the body's material system. At this stage there is no change in lab results and even no obvious symptoms or signs, but the local or overall energy flow has deviated from normal. Unless corrections are made to rebalance the energy system, the deviation in energy flow will gradually become fixed. If this happens, the imbalance will manifest as physical symptoms, affecting the material system and leading to a "diagnosed illness".

From this we can see that, for example, the methods of traditional TKM medicine are more suitable for treating illnesses that have not yet affected (or only slightly affected) the material structure of the body, whereas biomedicine treats illnesses that have caused a clear change in the material structure. Adjustment of energy work can also affect the material structure of the body, but at a slower rate. As qi concentrates in objects and objects dissipate into qi, they can transform into each other. The formula E = ms 2 indicates that this transformation is not simple. A simpler way to express this process is to state that TCM is suitable for treating a multitude of both chronic and functional diseases.
